Granite Slab

I'll start off by telling you that my boyfriend is a finish carpenter. Well, approximately a year and a half ago he put up slab of granite on the wall above and behind my gas stove. I, of course, wanted more and asked for a 3 inch granite shelf toward the top for decorative items, spices, etc. Being the fabulous man that he is, he fulfilled my request and decided to use Gorilla Glue to secure it to the other piece. Not only has it held to the back slab, but it has endured the heat, moisture, grease, etc. all this time. And I'm pretty darn sure it's not ready to quit anytime soon. I'm so thrilled, being an artist, that I found out that there are other versions of this fabulous product, which will be quite useful. I am completely sold. Kudos to whoever invented Gorilla Glue. Thanks, Sandra

Book Binding and Repairs

I buy very old books that have seen better days and I fix them up so they are readable again. How? I use Gorilla Glue to re-bind the pages. It has saved me money on buying new books or replacing old ones. I just fix them myself! (Note: Also test the glue out first, because it foams, you have to make sure to only use a very thin layer). Thanks, Debra J.

Gorilla Success

I want you to know that I found Gorilla Glue to be an exceptional product. I used it to repair broken wood drawers and since I'm far from being handy, I was very pleased with the ease and strength of this product. Since the quality of a company's product is an indication of future success, then The Gorilla Glue Company has a very bright future. Sincerely, Javonne P.

Repairing A Lamp

I had a handmade lamp finial made of a soft metal that had broken when twisted too hard. I tried other products to repair it. I may as well have been using water. The two metal pieces did not adhere -- even momentarily. I took it to my guy who repairs everything. He said he could neither glue it nor could he easily solder it (apparently something to do with the type of metal). He was about to charge me $65 for a $35 finial. I was resigned to buying a new one -- only to discover that the artist has discontinued it. So I rummaged around the kitchen drawer looking for the tube of Gorilla Super Glue I had bought but then misplaced and never tried. I figured it was a lost cause but I may as well try it. One minute later, my finial was back on my lamp. Thank you so much, you have a terrific product. I will never again assume all super glues are the same!

Broken Tomato Branches: Joint Effort by Gorilla Glue and Gorilla Tape

I fix broken tomato plant branches with Gorilla Tape to hold the branch and Gorilla Glue to repair the branch. As the photo shows, the tomatoes continue to grow and ripen. Don D., Indiana

The Next MacGyver

I thought you would like to know of another use for your tape. My 13 year old couldn't find our bike tire repair kit so he decided to use some of your Gorilla Tape to repair 3 different puncture holes, and it is still holding a few days later. Thanks for a great product, maybe he'll be the next McGyver. Russ H.

Almost Indestructible Patio Furniture

I made a patio table a few years ago and it was first foray with Gorilla Glue.  I used odd bits of redwood for the frame and legs and I had black locust that I used for the top. Gorilla Glue was what I counted on to hold it together. Little did I know that was most of what would hold it together. That table made it through about 10 years of straight weather, in the sun, rain and snow, slowly aging and gaining 'character. One summer, as I was moving it to clean the deck, I found that parts of the frame were not doing so well, due to rotting. The surprising thing, however, was that every joint with Gorilla Glue was looking pretty good. Every notch, mortise, etc. So I learned a couple things: 1. Maybe cover the table in the winter and weather. I may build sturdy, but I can't beat nature. 2. Count on Gorilla Glue for joints that may will outlast the wood.
Thanks, Bernie K.

All in The Family

I use the Precision Glue Pen in many of my arts and crafts. My husband uses Gorilla Tape and Gorilla Glue often in his workshop and on the job. Thanks for great products that our whole family loves! Karen J.

My Kid's Dreams...Saved.

On a nice summer day, my three children were playing on an inflatable bounce toy. This was a piece of play equipment that was durably built and priced to reflect this. I was highly upset when the large inflatable had ripped along a seam and was left deflated in my yard. As the kids hopes deflated as well, I pulled out the repair kit; it was like an eyedropper with glue in it. I had no other glues or epoxies to repair the vinyl. I had recently purchased a small bottle of the fast curing Gorilla Glue to make a repair in my home and thought that since the bounce toy was trashed, I might as well try it. WOW is all I can say. I have tried other glues in the past, but I am loyal customer now of any product with this brand name. After following the instructions and allowing the glue to cure, I was a bit timid to allow the kids on the bouncer again. Not only have the kids gotten bigger from last year to now, but I had to go into it myself to really test the glue. I had all three kids and myself inside the inflatable and the Gorilla Glue held. Once again, I am a sworn customer for life and will faithfully support the Gorilla Glue brand name. Thank You for such a superior product! John B.

Bird Houses

We were building bird houses as a family project with the kids. We were using some white wood glue, which worked great until it rained. The kids were not happy that the bird houses completely fell apart in a heavy rain. I went down to a local hardware store and asked for help. The owner mentioned "Gorilla Glue is the very best for anything wood that will be outside." I bought a small bottle, about 4 oz., and helped the kids sand, apply and clamp everything tightly. That was over a month and it has rained many times. The bird houses still look great, the kids want to build more, and we still have 3/4 of a bottle of Gorilla Glue left. Thank you for a great product, Justin S.

Re-attaching Kitchen Mixer

I have to tell you that I have used your glue so, so many times. I used it to re-attach the handle of my vintage kitchen mixer. This mixer weighs a ton and it broke near the end of the handle. I re-attached the handle tip, where 95% of the weight rests, and it still holds up. I really like Gorilla Glue--It works! Charlette H.

Gorilla-sized Success

Strength in Numbers

This weekend I brought home a new tube of Gorilla Super Glue. I figured my closet door has been splitting for weeks now; let's see if this stuff fixes it. Within minutes, my door was fixed. So I thought, wow, that was easy, maybe I should fix my daughters broken doll. In a matter of moments, the doll's head was reattached to her body. Next was the sole of my favorite pair of boots. Then a broken lamp, then the fairy wing on my daughter's snow globe, and then the broken neck of a guitar. All in all, I fixed about ten or twelve things in just one morning using the small tube of Gorilla Super Glue. Sometimes strength is in the numbers! Thanks, John T.

The Simple Things

The handle of my favorite coffee mug broke as I was drying the mug. It was a souvenir that I had for several years and was quite fond of. The handle did not break off at the joints to the mug, but was cleanly severed in the middle of the upper and lower horizontal portions. I moistened all the ends with water, put a drop of Gorilla Glue on the ends and pressed the handle in place. Rubber bands were used as clamps to hold the pieces in place for the drying. The repair was successful and has survived daily washings in a dish washer for over two years. Kudos to Gorilla Glue, Henry S.

The Nor'easter of 2007

In the spring of 2007, we had a Nor'easter in Maine. The rain didn't stop for days and days. Our house was built in 1970's and we have never had a problem with water in the basement. One morning I went into the basement and there was 4 to 5 inches of water. We got out the vacuum and bailed water for hours with very little success because we couldn't stop the water from coming in. I found cracks in the foundation and thought of Gorilla Glue! I poured the glue into the cracks and smoothed them while the water was coming in and then I noticed that the water was slowing down. And within minutes the water had stopped completely.  Unbelievable! You saved our home. Thanks! Skip T.

Split Peach Tree

Last September I got a call at work from my wife telling me that our fully loaded and nearly ripe Frost Peach tree had split in half during a wind storm. When I arrived home and assessed the damage my first thought was to cut away half the tree. I picked off the 50+lbs of peaches and cut away the largest outer branches.  With the weight off the trunk, I could see that it would be possible to use a come along to pull the two halves back together. Having nothing to lose, I gave it a shot. I needed something that was non-toxic to bond and seal the two halves. I used my whole 8 oz. bottle of Gorilla Glue on the two halves of exposed wood.  I then pulled them together and clamped it. It is now March and the tree is starting to bud again. Other than the 36" scar where the tree split, there is no sign of any setback or damage to the tree. Who would have known? Thank you! Daryl R.

Foam Construction

I build mascot costumes and needed a way to fasten structural foam and Styrofoam together. Most adhesives melt the foam and epoxy can be difficult to use in this application. Gorilla Glue is much easier to use and won't melt any of the foams I use. I can use it fasten Styrofoam blocks together or to fasten foam rubber to the Styrofoam. Good stuff!

Mother-in-Law Is Coming Over

I love my mother-in-law dearly but she can spot anything wrong the minute she walks in the door. She made me a wood craft with beautiful details. While cleaning, I accidentally knocked it off the wall. Well, pieces went every where. My daughter and I picked up every little butterfly and with Gorilla Glue put each one back in its rightful place. My mother-in-law came over the next day and when she saw it laying on the bar she asked what was wrong and did I break it. Not wanting to tell a lie but not wanting to upset her, I told her I had cleaned it. She held it in her hands turned it over and said, ‘yes you did and it looks better’. With that she hung it back up on the wall! Thanks to Gorilla Glue it stayed together and dried quickly and kept everyone happy! Linda W.

Fixin' A No Fixer

Hi, I have used Gorilla products for years with fantastic results. My story has to do with a friend of mine that works in the salvage business and a pocket knife he carries. He is always using this ragged, dull, sorry excuse for a knife at work. He came to visit one day and pulled this knife out and asked me if I had anything to fix the handles that had come unattached. I said YES! Well the knife had been "attempted" to be repaired so many times before that there were SEVERAL layers of glue, epoxy, and whatever other unknown concoctions, left behind. So, after a good scraping and cleaning, the handles were repaired "FOR GOOD" and he is still using that knife everyday at work and just can't believe that Gorilla Glue worked so well (I already knew it would work). So thanks for the GREAT product! Charles M.

Crafting Dilemma

I am a general crafter and rely heavily on "super-type" glues. For a show I was doing this past December, I had to assemble approximately 250 hand painted lapel pins. I assembled 10 pins as gifts for friends and family with ordinary super glue. The painted wood had separated from the metal backs in no time. Folks were coming to me to "make good" on my gifts -- how embarrassing! I had never tried Gorilla Glue, but heard that it was pretty good. I purchased the Precision Glue Pen and gave it a try. The repairs worked out wonderfully. The pen was very easy to use and not messy at all. I will only use this product from now on. It's fast, strong, and neat - what more could I ask for? Since the holidays, I have also used the glue pen to repair trim on my daughter’s shoes, fix a porcelain figurine, and repair a broken stove knob. There seems to be no end to what this product can do. I think I'll see how it does with my scrapbooking/cardmaking projects next. Christal E.

Shoe-t!!

I was strolling down the hall in school,
trying to act all hip and cool.
I'm a math teacher, you see,
something few people want to be!
Being short I like my heels to be high,
And as I walking, my oh my!!
My heel snapped in half,
The students, how they did laugh!
I laughed too, What else could I do?
Where's my Gorilla Glue???
-- Jennifer P.

Gorilla Racing

We race half scale cars on a 1/10 mile indoor banked track at speeds of about 50 MPH. As you can imagine, racing is quite intense and the fiberglass bodies splinter, crack and break. The best short term fix we have found is Gorilla Tape. It is strong and holds the body together until we can get back to the shop and perform fiberglass repair, or get a new body. We wouldn't go to the track without Gorilla Tape! Price P.

Missing Feeder Parts

We had this pesky problem in the Summer. Everytime we hung our hummingbird feeder somehow a raccoon got a hold of it and carried it off. We would find the yellow flowers (the pieces where the birds drink from) at the edge of the woods along with the empty feeder. I was tired of buying new feeders only to have the raccoons steal them and take off the flowers so I used Gorilla Glue to attach them for good! That was the last time I had to go searching for the missing pieces of my feeders! Elizabeth L.

Gorilla Wood Glue

My hobby is wood working. I just used the new Gorilla wood glue for the first time this weekend. The shelf project consisted of maple plywood with a 3/4" x 5/16" solid edging to be applied. Working by myself a medium single bead of glue was applied to the back of the wood strip and pushed up against the plywood. As I reached for the masking tape to hold the strip, the glue held the strip while I was able to shoot the nails in place. This saved me a great deal of time. Thanks for the great new product! I also used your new glue in a minor part of the Queen Anne lowboy. I have another chest coming up soon that I will be using your glue to do the complete project. I am absolutely converted to your product after these first two applications. Eric

Gorilla Tape saves greenhouse.

A friend and I were working in a plastic hoop greenhouse this November during 40mph wind gusts.  The wind peeled back the upper corner of the plasic covering.  Worried that the damage would continue to worsen, we found Gorilla Tape.  We went outside and pieced the plastic together the best we could.  It held together wonderfully during the rest of the extremely wind day, and continues to do so. Thanks!  Deborah

Bowling Ball Repair

Been using your product for at least a year and cannot find one use for it that hasn't achieved outstanding results.  Mirrors, molding, cracks and leaks of every kind.  The latest I just had to share with you.  I noticed my expensive bowling ball had developed a 3" long crack (about an eighth of an inch deep).  Probably from too many strikes (yeah right!)  I didn't even hesitate to tell my teammates that Gorilla Glue would take care of the problem.  Sure enough:  I put Gorilla Glue on a knife blade and filled in the crack. After sanding a hair, that baby is as good as new...or better!  Thanks for making a superior product that puts all other products to shame. Ed

No More Stripped Screws

My friend Rita's husband drilled two holes to put in anchor screws in the side of their brick house to hold the metal holder for the garden hose. Within two days the holder pulled out of the brick and the hose fell. She put Gorilla Glue in the holes and placed the screws back in--when it was dry, she hung the holder up. Her husband told her it would never work. No matter how much hose (weight) they put in it, it is still holding. That was three years ago. Her husband could not believe it. Yeah-Gorilla Glue! R. Stephens

Gorilla Tape for Patching Rafts

The (Boise River Helpers) BRV organization is the biggest ALL volunteer public service organization in Idaho.  Over 600 volunteers signed up last summer to help keep the river safe and clean for the over 250,000 people that use the it. Last summer, we patched and pumped over 200 rubber rafts because many people accidentally pop the raft they are using to clean. This summer, we used over 20 rolls of Gorilla Tape to patch holes in the rafts, some up to 2 feet long, so these river floaters can make it off the river safely. Thanks for a great product. Chris and the Boise River Helpers

Gorilla Glue Test

A friend of mine told me you can glue a brick back together with Gorilla Glue. So, I put Gorilla Glue to the test and glued two broken brick halves together. The brick held together. I stored it outside for two years and it was still in one solid piece. I threw the brick down against the concrete ground and the brick broke into three pieces, but the brick was still holding together at the place where it was bonded together with Gorilla Glue. My friend was right, you can glue a brick back together with Gorilla Glue. Kevin

Emergency Concrete Break--Quick Fix

One Friday night, the landscapers were at my house cutting the grass. They somehow broke two outside lights that were mounted in a cylinder of concrete. The bad news was that friends of ours were getting married in out back yard a few days later. What was I to do? Simple, glue the concrete back together with Gorilla Glue, and no one was the wiser. Thank you!  Michael

Mandolin Repair

I used Gorilla Glue to repair my mandolin which was damaged during shipment. I was stuck with a mandolin whose tuning head had cleanly snapped from the neck. I considered repairing it, but was unsure what glue to use. I needed something that had good strength after curing, since the reparied break would be under permanent tension from the strings. I settled on Gorilla Glue after reading that some luthiers use it for instrument building because of its superior strength. I repaired my broken mandolin in the fall of 2006. It has held up for over a year and a half. The instrument plays well and has had several string changes. I am very impressed with your product. It has restored a musical instrument that would have been a total loss. David
