The role’s core responsibilities involve working with the HR Manager in the organization of employee programs in place and assist in the daily HR responsibilities including sharing the responsibility of payroll.  This position will own the following duties listed below.

  

Duties

 

  • Responsible for Fun Ranger Committee meetings and facilitate the monthly or perhaps bi- monthly meetings to run smoothly not allowing folks to get off track.  Be the main source of organizing or delegating all of the company functions such as luncheons, annual blood drive, annual flu shots, monthly Sports Club billing and more that we bring on board
  • Alternate bi-weekly payroll run with HR Manager
  • Responsible for weekly temporary labor services billing and maintenance
  • Responsible for all aspects of new hires from orientation, background checks, scheduling drug screens  to entering into the payroll system and setting up all benefits
  • Pre-screening for open positions and assist in recruiting
  • Other duties assigned by Management
  • Requires attention to detail and ability to demonstrate a high degree of quality and accuracy in work performance
  • Maintain company bulletin board including picture org chart
  • Maintain Service Award program
  • Organize sign up sheets for Drop Inn Center monthly visits
  • Scheduling training for employees through the request of their Supervisors and or Managers
  • Run reports as needed from the HRIS system
  • Distribute bi-weekly payroll
  • Assist in annual programs such as benefit renewals, DFWP and other programs as assigned
  • Responsible for organizing annual wellness program
  • Assist in organizing and filing of personnel issues/files
  • Company quarterly newsletter 

Qualifications:

 

  • Knowledge typically gained through a combination of a college degree and/or relevant experience, totaling 5 years post-high school.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resources
  • Knowledge of the Paycor and Time on Demand system helpful
  • PHR/SPHR preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships internally and externally at all levels.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
  • Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence, and make effective presentations.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work well on special projects within time sensitive deadlines, and under pressure
  • Must have the ability to handle highly sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Microsoft skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, bend, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see, and lift up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten and or typed material and must have the ability to focus.
