Teapot repair question

I just brought home a ceramic teapot I made only to find that it has a small crack where the spout meets the body--can I use normal Gorilla Glue to fix this? Will it hold up to the heat of boiling water being poured in it, and will it be food safe?

Re: Teapot repair question

Hi Erica,

Gorilla Glue is 100% waterproof when cured, non-toxic and it can withstand temperatures up to 212 degrees F;  but you cannot use the glue as a filler or a sealer!  You must be able to clamp your surfaces together tightly while the glue is curing.
