REMOVING super GLUE from CAR PAINT PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!

I pulled the plastic trunk handle garnish thing off my car and the clips broke off so i decided to use gorilla super glue to reattach it however in the process i managed to get excess glue on the metal near the piece tht came off ....

it is really tacky looking and i have now bought a new trunk handel so how should or would i go about removing the broken piece as well as the excess glue on the painted metal surface of my car ????????

Re: REMOVING super GLUE from CAR PAINT PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!

Since Gorilla Super Glue is a strong adhesive, it can be difficult to remove from surfaces once cured.  However, it is not waterproof, so hot soapy water will eventually break the bond.  Acetone or isopropyl alcohol will also break the bond after numerous applications and by using moderate pressure and rubbing the surface.

I hope this helps!
