Gorilla Glue to hold wire to a solder point

Hello Gorilla Fans,

My Guitar Hero drum pedal wire came loose from the solder point. Can I use Gorilla Glue to hold a wire to a solder point? Will it cause a problem with the conduction of electrical currents?

I don't want to hunt down my solding iron to do the job because things are still packed away after moving.

Thank you for your knowledge.

Bryan

Re: Gorilla Glue to hold wire to a solder point

Hey Bryan,

Gorilla Glue will conduct electricity.  Gorilla Super Glue, however, does not and it will be an instant bond!

Good Luck on your repair!

Will standard Gorilla Glue conduct electricity once it has completely cured?  I saw where you said it WOULD conduct, and I wonder if you only meant while it was still in it's liquid form before drying.

Thanks!

Sam

Re: Gorilla Glue to hold wire to a solder point

Hi Sam

Gorilla Glue conducts electricity when it is completely cured, although very poorly.  For this reason, it should not be considered an insulator.
