same problem same answer i am also 70+ love the glue but need a solution to the problem of it becoming a rock

We appreciate the feedback.  Here are some tips to help prolong the life of your glue:

Always store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Another tip is to store the bottle upside down when not in use. This forces any air in the bottle to the bottom, which will be away from the cap. Of course, be careful the lid if on tight and the glue is in a safe location to avoid spills.

As with any chemical product, store in a safe location and keep out of the reach of children and animals.
