Gas compatible

I have a question. Does anyone know if Gorilla Glue is compatible with gasoline.  We have a leak around gas tank of generator and would like to know if it is safe to use Gorilla Glue to repair tank.  All help appreciated

Re: Gas compatible

We do not recommend the use of Gorilla Glue around gasoline tanks, primarily because it was not developed for this use, and has not been tested.

Also keep in mind that Gorilla Glue is not a filler or a sealer as there is no structural strength when used this way.  It has to have the two surfaces clamped together tightly while the glue is curing.

Thanks, Lauren
