Gorilla Glue is moisture activated.  To extend the shelf life, it is very important to keep all air and moisture away from the glue.  When finished using the glue, hold the container upright and gently squeeze it.  Allow the glue to go back up into the spout.  Holding the glue at the tip of the container and without letting go of the squeeze, replace your cap.  Your bottle will be a little mishapen and cave in a little since you have used the glue to remove all the air from the container.  This should help extend the shelf life.
