I was attempting to mount brackets for Roman Blinds in a window frame but can't drill to secure them. The brackets are 'L' shaped with bolt and wing nut parallel to the portion that would be affixed to the frame, projecting downward from where the blinds would hang. The blinds weigh approximately 6 - 7 lbs. I was going to chisel out a notch in which the bracket could be placed in the frame. After doing so, would I be able to secure the brackets to the wall using Gorilla Glue and safely mount the blinds for an extended period of time?

Answer:

Yes, you will be able to glue the brackets to the wall, although doing so would mean that these would be permanently glued to the wall. You would need to make sure no paint or stain was on that wall, then rough up or scratch up the brackets. After gluing the brackets, you will somehow need to be able to clamp those brackets to ensure adhesion, maybe by wedging something up into the window frame. Gorilla Glue will absolutely be able to withstand the weight of the blinds.
